Text Reflection
Spoof up your header by adding a reflection to its text. This basic tutorial will teach you how to do it. It gives it that Web 2.0 look.
Create a new canvas. Fill in the background with #D4D4D4.
Type in the text you’d like to use with the font color white.
Click on layer > layer style > Stroke… Add in the following properties to the layer:
This is what you should have so far:
Right click on the text layer > duplicate layer. Rename the layer ‘reflection’
On the ‘reflection’ layer, click edit > transform > flip vertical. Move down the text until it aligns with the layer above.
Right click on the ‘reflection’ layer > rasterize. Create a blank layer below this layer. Click on the ‘reflection’ layer and press down CTRL and E at the same time. The who layers should be merged with the layer style.
click on your eraser too, set it to an airbrush at pixel size 100. Erase the bottom part of the ‘reflection’ layer.
Change the opacity of the layer for %25. (This is found on the right side of the layers window. Here is how the final product looks like:
